FAIRBANKS INT'L AIRPORT (FAI) The Metropolitan Area Commuter System (MACS) serves the airport on the Yellow bus line, which operates between the airport and the downtown transit center. From there, you can easily walk anywhere downtown. The bus runs seven times a day during the week, at 7:38am, 9:13am, 9:59am, 11:38am, 3:53pm, 5:38pm, and 7:15pm, and three times on Saturdays at 11:48am, 2:07pm, and 3:37pm. No service Sunday or major holidays. The ride takes about 25 minutes. Both going and coming from the airport, make sure the bus is going in the direction you need it to. Fare is $1.50, or get an all-day pass for $3.00 from the driver.
